Addo is the 3rd largest park in South Africa. It stretches from the semi-arid Karoo in the North, over beautiful mountains, follows the Sunday’s River and ends at the coast.
It is home to over 550 elephants, lions, buffalo, black rhino, spotted hyena, leopard, variety of antelope, zebra and the flightless dung beetle.
The main camp has beautiful chalets, some overlooking the great plains where elephants can often be spotted. The is a lookout over a waterhole that is floodlit at night.
It is well worth a visit and the close-up experience to the gentle giants are magnificent.
